Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over time so you don't have to keep re-entering them. Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remain on your device for a set period).
2. How We Use Cookies
Unstuck uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
Strictly Necessary
These cookies are essential for the Site and App to function. They cannot be disabled. Examples include session authentication tokens and CSRF protection tokens. No personal data is shared with third parties for these cookies.
Functional
These cookies remember your preferences and choices (e.g., whether you have dismissed a notice). They improve your experience but are not essential. Disabling them may affect some features.
Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with the Site — which pages are visited most, where traffic comes from, and how long sessions last. This data is aggregated and anonymised where possible. We may use first-party analytics or third-party services; all data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Marketing (not currently used)
We do not currently run retargeting or advertising cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for consent before any marketing cookies are set.
3. Cookies We Set
- _session — Session authentication. Expires when you close your browser. Strictly necessary.
- _csrf — Cross-site request forgery protection token. Expires with session. Strictly necessary.
- _prefs — Stores UI preferences (e.g., dismissed notices). Persistent, 1 year. Functional.
Third-party scripts loaded by the Site (e.g., Google Fonts) may also set cookies or make requests to their own domains. We have no control over those cookies; please review the third party's own cookie policy.
4. How to Control Cookies
You can control and delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Here are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:
- Google Chrome — Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox — Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari — Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge — Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all cookies will affect the functionality of many websites, including ours. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without significantly impairing the Service.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We currently do not alter our data collection practices in response to DNT signals, as there is no agreed industry standard for how to interpret them. We will update this section if our approach changes.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
